We love that you want to help, and we love that you’re asking how to do that effectively. We will keep this page updated as information changes. Here’s what we know & need right now:
- SIGN UP! Start at Mobilize.US for phone banking and other distance volunteering opportunities. That’s the tool used by the Democratic party and it’s quite helpful. It will be a clearinghouse for both Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock and is the go-to place to get your marching orders.
- HOLD YOUR HORSES. We know our state is prettier than yours, and it’s probably cold and gray where you are right now, but also we have spiking levels of COVID-19. It’s likely your state does as well. Let’s all just chill on the travel for now.
- OK, OK… it’s possible that in a few weeks we’ll want some company, because we’re gonna have a lot of safe, socially distant, door hangers to hang. We promise we’ll let you know IF we do. First we need a few weeks to get our field organizers and our plans in place. Give us a minute.
- DO NOT GO ROGUE. Forging your own path down here this late into the game won’t help anyone. We LOVE the support but our state could be easily overrun by too much of a good thing. Let Georgians map out the strategy and we can all move on that when the time comes.
- WE NEED MONEY. It’s a fact - this ain't gonna be cheap. Consider hosting a COVID-safe fundraiser in your home town, or maybe something online. That would be great! We encourage you to donate directly to both campaigns, to state-wide organizations, and to local organizations across Georgia (like the Rascals!) doing work in our communities.
